The most important aspect of choosing a puppy involves you establishing yourself as the head of the “pack”. Our puppies are socialized from birth and are well adjusted to both strangers and children. Nevertheless, you want to find the best puppy to bond with you.
You should look carefully at how the litter interacts. Which is the dominant alpha puppy and which is the omega? Notice which puppies come up to you most quickly (dominant) and which puppies need more coaxing (shy). Pick up the puppy and turn him over. Does he struggle? If so, he or she is a dominant puppy who will require more time and energy than a more compliant pup.
